Gary Coleman Dead at Age 42

After falling in his home, the actor was rushed to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where he was placed on life support after falling into a coma.

Diff’rent Strokes actor Gary Coleman was pronounced dead earlier this afternoon after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage at his home in Utah. He was 42 years of age.

After falling in his home, the actor was rushed to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where he was placed on life support after falling into a coma. Shortly after 12 p.m. Mountain Time, the actor’s estranged wife Shannon Price told doctors to pull the plug, and the actor was pronounced dead at 12:05 P.M.

Coleman was best known for his role as Arnold Jackson on the television sitcom Diff’rent Strokes (1978-1986). After the series ended Coleman suffered a series of legal problems, such as bankruptcy, assault charges stemming from an incident where he assaulted a woman asking for his autograph, as well as being accused of spousal abuse.

Coleman is survived by a number of relatives which include his estranged wife Shannon, as well as a few close family members.
