New revelations have come out almost daily during the impeachment hearings into Trump. We've had Gordon Sondland's confirmation of a quid pro quo with Ukraine. We've had Republican officials hindered in their jobs by Trump's attempt to purchase Greenland. We've had overheard conversations referring to the U.S. president's ass.

Now, we've been told that Trump is... not a morning person. Which, as Seth Meyers speculated during Monday's episode of Late Night, may at least partly explain why the commander in chief rambled on for a barely coherent 53 minutes during a live morning interview last week.

"We saw Trump's irritability on full display Friday when he woke up bright and early and called in for a video conference with his therapists: the hosts of Fox and Friends," joked Meyers.

Trump jumped from topic to topic for almost an hour, though Late Night edited it down to a much shorter and less life-sucking montage. It was more of a monologue than an interview, with Trump barely letting the three Fox and Friends hosts get a word in edgewise as they sat "trapped on a TV set like they're in a Saw movie."

"How would Trump even know he was actually talking to anyone?" wondered Meyers. "At some point they should just disconnect his phone and let him think he's on TV."
