Five months after Wentworth Miller announced his departure from The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, there's some Captain Cold-related news to warm fans' hearts.

Yes, we're getting to see Miller at least one more time in The Flash, this time as Citizen Cold, the version of his character that turned up in the Arrow / Supergirl / The Flash / Legends of Tomorrow crossover event last November.

A synopsis for upcoming episode 'Fury Rogue', airing on April 23 in the US, revealed Miller's comeback.

"WENTWORTH MILLER RETURNS AS CITIZEN COLD," the synopsis reads. "When Barry (Grant Gustin) needs help transporting a dangerous meta, he calls on a new friend for help – Leo Snart AKA Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller).

"Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) becomes suspicious of Harry (Tom Cavanagh). Rachel Talalay directed the episode written by Jeff Hersh & Joshua V. Gilbert (#419). Original airdate 4/24/2018."

Back when he announced his departure, Miller wrote: "Currently shooting some of my final episodes as 'Captain Cold/Leonard Snart' on the CW's Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash.

"I've had a tremendous time playing this character. It's been an opportunity, an education, and a f**king blast."

He also revealed around that time that he had one more DC episode to film, that episode presumably being 'Fury Rogue'.

"I have one more episode to shoot which I'll do in January, and I think it's going to be an episode of The Flash, and then that is it for me contractually," he said.

So it sounds like that's it for the foreseeable future – although don't give up all hope, as Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim said in February this year that the door has been left open for Wentworth's return.
