‘Notebook’ director Nick Cassavetes wants $4.8M for LA mansion

“Notebook” fans, take note. The modern Los Angeles home belonging to “The Notebook” director Nick Cassavetes is on the market for $4.8 million.

If it’s love at first sight, there’s no need to pen 365 love letters. You can just go ahead and make an offer on this 4,032-square-foot sleek space in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood.

“This property is a perfect home for anyone looking to be close to the Hollywood action, while also being able to enjoy privacy,” says listing agent Linn Renee Sivertsen of The Agency.

“The house is hidden behind a tall wall of greenery, and when you walk through the gate, you are greeted by a large Buddha waterfall … which feels very Zen-like,” adds the agent. The home was designed by the director as his personal residence.

The home features city views and access to the outdoors from every room. Bright and open, the floor plan includes walls of glass doors, a living room, a large kitchen with two islands and an adjoining dining space.

Upstairs, you’ll find two master suites, each featuring a spa bath with round tubs. There are two more bedrooms on that floor.

The lower level includes a guest bedroom, screening room and office. Outside, the half-acre lot has lush landscaping, a pool and spa and room for lounging and dining. The property comes with a three-car garage.

Cassavetes is the son of director John Cassavetes and actress Gena Rowlands. The director has also appeared in “Face/Off,” “The Substitute” and “The Astronaut’s Wife.” The New York native also played himself in the HBO show “Entourage,” and had a cameo in “The Hangover: Part II.”
