Neve Campbell says her work on the fifth Scream film will be starting very soon. Campbell, who is set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in the upcoming slasher sequel, spoke with ET Online for a new interview and said she’s looking forward to getting back together with her fellow franchise veterans David Arquette and Courteney Cox.

Asked about when she’ll start working on the film, Campbell said, “I am leaving soon [and] I am looking forward to getting back to work. It will be the first time since March and I am sure we are all dealing with getting back to work, so I am excited about that.”

She continued, “I am excited [about] stepping back in Sidney’s shoes and seeing Courteney and David. Those movies mean so much to me for my life and career and they are always a blast to do, so it should be fun!”

Campbell, Arquette, and Cox are reprising their roles as Sidney, Dewey, and Gale in the film, which is to be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) from a script by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. They are joined by Marley Shelton, Jack Quaid, Jenna Ortega, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Kyle Gallner, Sonia Ammar, and Mikey Madison in the movie, which is set to open on January 14, 2022.
