Jeff Bridges took to social media on Monday to update fans on his health status, saying he's 'feeling good' and 'got a puppy' named Monty as he continues to remain upbeat amid his battle with cancer.

The Big Lebowski star revealed that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, in October. 

In an accompanying shot, the 71-year-old Oscar winner smiled as he relaxed in a chair with a panoramic view of the ocean in the background.

Bridges posted a message with bullet points in his tweet that read, 'Here’s the latest: Feeling good; Shaved my head; Got a puppy - Monty; Had a Birthday - 71, man.'

The actor also shared a link to his personal website in which he had a litany of messages alongside art.

'Well … here’s the next batch of what I want to point out. Music - we need it, man & all our musicians are having a hell of a time making a living these days w/ the COVID deal.

He shared a link to his longtime friend John Goodwin's music and a shot of them as children; and paid homage to Buddhist teacher Bernie Glassman, who he co-authored the 2014 book Dude and the Zen Master Paperback with.

He shared a link to the nonprofit No Kid Hungry writing, 'The health of our children can serve as a compass, letting us know if we’re on course or not - we’re off course.'

The seven-time Academy Award nominee linked to a YouTube video of surfer Koa Smith riding a massive wave as 'such a great reminder [of] how wonderful life can be.'

He wrapped up his post writing, 'Be love.”

Bridges, who's also been seen in Crazy Heart, Starman, The Last Picture Show and True Grit, opened up about his cancer diagnosis October 19 on social media.

'As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light,' Bridges said, quoting a line from Lebowski. 'I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. 

'Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I'm starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery. I'm profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends.'

He added, 'Thank you for your prayers and well wishes ... Love, Jeff.'

He later said that he was grateful for the well-wishes he'd received amid his prognosis: 'I want to thank you all for reaching out during this time, it feels good getting all the well wishes and love!'
