Stone Cold Steve Austin made his movie debut here as Guard Dunham with Kevin Nash and Bill Goldberg are other professional wrestlers to appear.

Released in 2021, Adam McKay directed the dark comedy Don’t Look Up. The movie was almost out of place in 2021 because it was often hard to laugh at situations that are all too real.

The movie starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as two scientists who learn that a comet is racing toward Earth that could destroy all life on the planet.

The problem is that the politicians don’t care and ignore the threat while the world decides they are more interested in celebrity pregnancies and refuse to believe the scientists until it is too late.

The movie is a Netflix original and appears to be a front-runner for awards season.

Always Be My Maybe is a Netflix original movie starring Ali Wong and Randall Park and directed by Nahnatchka Khan.

Park and Wong are childhood friends named Marcus and Sasha, who had a teen fling that ended poorly and had not seen each other since.

This funny movie picked up years later when Sasha returns to San Francisco, opens a restaurant, and then reconnects with Marcus. With his insecurities and her fame and success as a restauranteur, their relationship is threatened once again.

Keanu Reeves is also in the movie, playing himself, and is a national treasure in every scene he appears.

Released in 1993, Addams Family Values was the sequel to the big-screen remake of the classic horror television show.

Considered the better of the two movies, the cast returns with Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, and Christina Ricci in the lead roles.

In this sequel, a serial killer marries Uncle Fester and plans to kill him for his inheritance. However, she never realized what the family had planned for her.

The Wedding Singer (1998)

One of Adam Sandler’s most beloved movies hit in 1998 with The Wedding Singer.

In this movie, Sandler was able to bring one of his better Saturday Night Live schticks, his singing weird songs, to the big screen as the wedding singer of the title.

The Wedding Singer also gave Sandler a chance to show he was more than a frat boy movie actor by putting him in a rom-com with Drew Barrymore as the romantic interest.

Sandler and Barrymore teamed up more in the future, but this was still Sandler’s best rom-com of his career.

21 Jump Street (2012)

She soon meets a wealthy substitute teacher (Justin Timberlake) and tries to win him over for the money, but finds another teacher (Lucy Punch) trying to win him over as well.

In 1981, Bill Murray was one of the top comedians working in Hollywood and he starred in the comedy war movie Stripes.

He was also joined by his Ghostbusters partner in crime Harold Ramis and the brilliant John Candy in this movie directed by Ivan Reitman.

Murray is John Winger, a guy whose life is falling apart so he joins the Army and convinces his buddy (Ramis) to join with him. While mostly getting into trouble, the two eventually find themselves in a position where they have to save all their fellow soldiers.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly starred in several comedies together in the early 2000s, and while Step Brothers wasn’t the best of those movies, it was the best pairing for the duo.

The two actors played 40-year-olds who still lived at home with their parents. When Brennan’s divorced mother marries Dale’s widowed father, they become stepbrothers and hate each other from the start.

The two very immature men then do everything they can to make each other’s lives a living hell. However, when they start to realize they have more in common than they thought, they set out to conquer the world.

Gremlins (1984)

One of the best Christmas horror comedies ever made arrived in 1984 with Joe Dante’s Gremlins.

The movie had a father bring home a special Christmas gift for his son – a unique animal known as a mogwai. There were some simple rules. Don’t get it wet, expose it to light, or feed it after midnight.

Exposing it to light would kill it, but the other rules were broken, which caused Gizmo to spawn more mogwais, which eventually turn into Gremlins – destructive little monsters who try to destroy everything in sight.

This is a unique Christmas movie that fans can watch anytime of the year and never fails to entertain.

The Interview (2014)

The Interview was a 2014 comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco as journalists who set up an interview with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

Kim Jong-un, who has always prided himself as a fanboy of Western pop culture and sports celebrities, was a perfect target for the movie’s humor.

The plot had the CIA recruit the journalists to assassinate the dictator while they were there to interview him. Of course, this is Seth Rogen and James Franco, so nothing goes as planned.

After breaking out with South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker decided to make a different kind of animated movie.

This was Team America: World Police, which used puppets similar to the classic series Thunderbirds.

The story was a dark comedy and a harsh indictment of both America’s love of military battles and the cliches used by Hollywood for years to play into the jingoistic attitudes in America.

The movie was Rated-R and was almost Rated NC-17 due to “puppet sex scenes.”

Not Another Teen Movie (2001)

Before spoof movies ended up as the lowest form of the comedy genre, there were several movies that knocked it out of the park.

One of the last of these, and possibly the one that kickstarted the craze that led to some terrible movies over the next decade, was Not Another Teen Movie in 2001.

The movie starred Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers in Supergirl) as the nerdy girl who was beautiful when she took off her glasses. It also starred a young Chris Evans (Captain America) as the hot boy she liked.

The movie spoofed most of the teen coming of age movies of the 80s and even included a cameo by ’80s star Molly Ringwald.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

Netflix is the home for Monty Python and has two of the group’s best movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail was initially released in 1975 and stood the test of time- 45 years later, it’s still regarded as one of the best comedies ever made.

The film was a spoof with its origins in sketches from the Monty Python television show (which is also available to watch on Netflix).

Holy Grail is about the quest by King Arthur and his knights for the Holy Grail. The movie was named the second-best comedy of all-time in a fan-based poll by ABC and People, behind Airplane.

Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979)

The second Monty Python movie on Netflix is the Christian satire Life of Brian.

The movie tells the story of a man named Brian, a child born in the stable next to Jesus Christ. This causes the Three Wisemen to find him and initially confuse him with the King of the Jews.

Brian then falls in love with a young rebel and joins the People’s Front of Judea, a freedom movement that spends as much time in-fighting as getting anything done.

The movie found protestors from every religious sect, but it might be the funniest movie from Monty Python.
