Longtime friends George Clooney and Julia Roberts will co-star in a romantic comedy, Ticket To Paradise, their fourth film together.

Clooney, who turns 60 next month, and Roberts, 53, play a divorced couple who team up and travel to Bali to stop their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago.

Their daughter will be played by Billie Lourd, known for American Horror Story and Booksmart, and as Lieutenant Connix from Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker and Star Wars: Episode VII – The Last Jedi.

Filming begins later this year in Australia with director Ol Parker (Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again), who wrote the script with Daniel Pipski, according to Variety.

Clooney – born in Lexington, Ky., on May 6, 1961 – and Roberts have appeared together in Ocean's Eleven (2001), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Money Monster (2016).

Both have won Oscars – Clooney for best picture for producing Argo, and best supporting actor for Syriana, and Roberts for Erin Brockovich.

People magazine honored Clooney as one of four "2020 People of the Year" in December, along with Dr. Anthony Fauci, actress-director Regina King and singer Selena Gomez.

The magazine praised his"tireless human and civil rights advocacy with the Clooney Foundation for Justice. In addition to using his powerful voice and platform against political and social inequities, he quietly donated $500,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative in the wake of George Floyd's killing, $1 million for COVID-19 relief efforts in Italy, London, and L.A., and significant aid to Lebanese charities after the deadly explosion in Beirut in August."

In February, Clooney's Smokehouse Pictures, Sports Illustrated Studios and 101 Studios announced they are producing a documentary series based on the SI story last October about sexual abuse by Ohio State University sports doctor Richard Strauss from 1978 to 1998.

Ticket To Paradise, a Universal Pictures film, will debut on Sept. 30, 2022, Variety says. Clooney will be a producer on the film along with business partner Grant Heslov for Smokehouse Pictures. Roberts also will be a producer for Red Om Films.
