Prior to Tom Brady taking fans on a “will-he or won’t-he” trip in regard to retiring from the NFL, the seven-time Super Bowl champion established his own production company, 199 Productions. The 44-year-old quarterback is no stranger to big or small screens. He’s made cameo appearances in the Entourage movie and Ted 2, alongside Mark Wahlberg. He also hosted SNL in 2005 and voiced himself for Family Guy and The Simpsons. Now, Brady will be in front of the cameras again. This time, he will not only act (as himself) in but also produce the film 80 For Brady.

Plans for the project, which is directed by Kyle Marvin, co-written by Michael Covino and made by Paramount Pictures and Endeavor Content, were announced earlier this year. Filming an impressive ensemble cast, which includes Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Jane Fonda, and Sally Field, has already wrapped up. Tomlin and Fonda already have a long track record of successful chemistry in screwball comedy ever since their 1980 hit 9 to 5 up until their most recent work in Netflix's Grace and Frankie.

In 80 For Brady, Tomlin, Fonda, Moreno, and Field play four friends who set out to take a road trip to the Super Bowl to see their hero, Tom Brady. First, they must navigate how to get to the biggest sporting event of the year, but mishaps and hijinks are sure to happen with this group of legendary actresses. Guy Fieri, the spike-haired Mayor of Flavortown who hosts a tiny nation of cooking shows on the Food Network, has a small cameo. Not much is known about Fieri’s fleeting role other than he will also play himself. Also joining the cast of characters is Billy Porter (Pose), who is one Oscar win away from joining the elite group of EGOT winners. No additional information has been provided regarding Porter’s character.

Also starring in 80 For Brady are Harry Hamlin (Angie Tribeca), Sara Gilbert (The Conners) and Glynn Turman (Fargo). There have been plenty of movies that featured a star-studded cast since the history of filmmaking and 80 For Brady is filled with well-known personalities who can pull off the funny. Brady’s 199 Productions was named after his selection number in the 2000 draft and will be "a global multi-platform content company to develop original premium content including documentaries, feature films and television shows,” per the company’s announcement in 2020.
