Warning! SPOILERS for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 ahead.

Obi-Wan Kenobi concluded with its sixth episode, proving all complaints about Reva (Moses Ingram) wrong. The character was subject to significant criticism online, as some viewers felt that she was not well written or performed. However, the final flipped Ingram's character, impressively standing out in a spectacular episode where Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) and Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) rematch after their fight on Mustafar and their duel in episode 3.

Reva Sevander (also known as the Third Sister) was an Inquisitor for the Galactic Empire, hunting down Jedi after Emperor Palpatine unleashed Order 66. The series revealed that Reva was a Youngling at the Jedi Temple when Darth Vader and the Clone Troopers attacked. Despite turning to the dark side, Reva was ultimately unable to kill a young Luke Skywalker in revenge, something Obi-Wan Kenobi praised her for. Outside of the Star Wars universe, some viewers of the new Star Wars series leveraged fair criticisms that the character was not compelling, while others subjected Reva's actor, Moses Ingram, to disgraceful racist comments.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 gave Reva the character arc viewers were waiting for, allowing her to emerge as a sympathetic, compelling character while finally proving criticisms wrong. Though her return to the light was similar to the redemptions of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Vader, her decision to spare young Luke was nevertheless a compelling narrative decision. Reva's turn back to the light made sense given her Jedi origin, and her unwillingness to kill a child as Vader did prove that she ultimately was a better person than the corrupted Anakin Skywalker, despite her misdeeds.

Moses Ingram's Acting Was A Highlight Of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Finale

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 also proved how versatile Moses Ingram is as an actor. Some online had complained that she was not intimidating enough in previous episodes, but her attack on Owen and Beru Lars on Tatooine made her feel like a lightsaber-wielding slasher villain, despite her previous injury at Vader's hand. Additionally, her final breakdown in front of Luke and Obi-Wan proved the actor's emotional range, as her immense, lingering trauma following Order 66 and a previous near-death experience was excellently portrayed.

Ingram should have never been subject to the hatred of racist trolls and some of the online criticism about Reva was not valid, simply asserting that a Black woman had no place playing a (nearly) Sith character like an Inquisitor. However, both trolls and viewers with genuine issues with the performance and writing of Reva were proven wrong by the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Moses Ingram gave a stellar performance as Reva Sevander and her character arc finally made sense when her backstory with Vader was revealed and she chose to spare young Luke Skywalker. Obi-Wan Kenobi went out on a high note and proved everyone who doubted Ingram and the character of Reva wrong.
