Sarah Jessica Parker excitedly chats on the phone while wearing peasant dress on the NYC set of And Just Like That season two

Two-time Emmy winner Sarah Jessica Parker excitedly chatted on the phone while filming the 10-episode second season of HBO Max's And Just Like That... in Manhattan on Monday.

The 57-year-old former child star was fully in character as Carrie Bradshaw, a newly-widowed sex columnist-turned-author-turned-podcaster.

It's unclear who was on the other line of Carrie's call, but the way she beamed it could've easily been her podcast boss Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez).

In the February 3 finale, Bradshaw passionately kissed Franklyn in an elevator shortly after he offered her her own show to host following the end of Che Diaz's (Sara Ramirez) podcast X, Y, and Me.

Sarah showcased her slim 5ft3in figure in a peasant blouse tucked into a matching skirt, which featured belled sleeves and colorful stripes.

Parker finished off her daytime Carrie Bradshaw look with a b&w-striped clutch and pink-and-orange ombré pumps selected by costumers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago.

Hairstylist Serge Normant coiffed the Hocus Pocus 2 actress' own signature middle-parted blonde waves and make-up artist Elaine Offers Woulard applied eye liner and pink blush.

'It's very unusual to get to play a person as many years as I have been,' Sarah marveled to Forbes on Monday.

'We're about 25 years into this relationship and I've had an alternate life and that is highly unusual to play somebody else who is in some ways living in real-time and having experiences that are not uniquely her own - sometimes they are, but for the most part, the experiences that have been written for her are very much a connection to other women and their stories and their lives.

'What has been interesting to me the entire time is that she feels real. Obviously, the world in which those characters exist is intentionally heightened - the colors are brighter and the city sparkles more than it sometimes really does for those of us who live here every single day.'

Parker continued: 'Her husband passed away, how does that change her life? How does that change how she feels about herself, sees herself, how other people see her? What is now out there for her? What is interesting? What's scary? What's challenging? How does that change her as a writer? As a friend? As a potential romantic partner?'

Last Friday, AJLT's Instagram account shared a behind-the-scenes video of the Ohio-born mother-of-three fixing Kristin Davis' pu*** bow blouse as Cynthia Nixon watched on.

Sarah, Kristin, and Cynthia likely received hefty raises on their prior $10M paychecks to executive produce and star as Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda in the Sex and the City continuation.

Joining the talented trio in the restaurant was one of Samantha Jones' (Kim Cattrall) replacements - Mario Cantone - who plays event planner-turned-Hot Fellas Baked Goods owner Anthony Marentino.

And while the first season was HBO Max's most successful original series, it received a 48% critic approval rating (out of 79 reviews) and an even more dismal 29% audience score (out of 626 viewers) on Rotten Tomatoes.

Much ado has been made over Emmy nominee John Corbett returning for 'a substantial, multi-episode arc' in season two as Carrie's passive-aggressive furniture-designing ex-fiancé Aidan Shaw.

But there were always undertones of control and distrust plaguing Carrie and Aidan - who clashed over her smoking, cheating, abortion, fashion, and commitment as well as his chattiness and rustic Suffern, NY cabin.

In Sex And The City 2, Shaw cheated on his furniture-designing wife Kathy - with whom he had sons Tate, Homer, and Wyatt - to share a nostalgic kiss with Bradshaw, who was married to Mr. Big at the time, in Abu Dhabi.

Fans can also expect season two to include Evan Handler, David Eigenberg, Sarita Choudhury, Karen Pittman, Nicole Ari Parker, Bobby Lee, Chris Jackson, LeRoy McClain, Cathy Ang, Alexa Swinton, Niall Cunningham, Cree Cicchino, Brenda Vaccaro, and newcomer Tony Danza.
