“Smoke Signals” film screening: 7 p.m. Thursday, Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, Longmont. Filmed on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation in northwestern Idaho, screenwriter Sherman Alexie’s screenplay has been lauded by Indigenous communities for its authenticity in casting and its sublime story, which follows Victor Joseph and Thomas Builds-the-Fire, two young men made into brothers by circumstance who reluctantly band together to retrieve their father’s ashes. Presented in conjunction with the Museum’s “Picturing the West” exhibition. $5-$10, 303-651-8374, longmontcolorado.gov.

Art & Sip: 4 p.m. Thursday, Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, Longmont. Learn the classic technique “reverse glass painting,” updated and streamlined for aspiring artists. Wine and Succulent workshop: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Blue Mountain Vineyards, 4480 Hoot Owl Drive, Berthoud. Blue Mountain Vineyards will be hosting Ali’s Pi-Cassa’s travelling art class with painting terracotta pots and planting succulents.
