Comedian Joel Dommett admitted that he once filmed a sex scene with Hollywood legend Sienna Miller at 19 – and he was “petrified.”

Before the dad-of-one shot to fame as a stand-up comic, he tried to make it as an actor in his early 20s. The star even landed roles in major movies throughout his career.

In 2008, The Masked Singer presenter, 38, was cast in the Dylan Thomas biopic, The Edge of Love. He was lucky enough to share the screen with the likes of Keira Knightley and Cillian Murphy.

He took on the role of ‘trained soldier’ and had several scenes with the Stardust star, including an intimacy scene. On Saturday, the new dad reflected on his time on the movie set when he appeared on Rob Beckett’s new TV show Smart TV.

Appearing alongside Alison Hammond, Chris Packham Gregg Wallace and Natasia Demetriou, he confessed that the steamy sex scene was a lot more uncomfortable than it appeared. Rob asked: “Joel you did a sex scene as well, didn’t you in your acting days with Sienna Miller, is this correct?”

He replied: “Yeah, I did a sex scene with Sienne Miller when I was 19.” His co-stars immediately congratulated him for his impressive former role, but Joel soon shattered their thoughts of filming with the starlet.

Joel added: “You'd think it’s amazing but I'd only had sex with one real person. I was petrified because Sienna Miller’s had sex scenes in loads of stuff by that point, she was such a huge star.

“And so I just thought, ‘I’ll follow what she does’.” The panel couldn’t help but burst into laughter, imagining the teenager awkwardly navigating the shoot with the beloved actor.

At the time there was no intimacy co-ordinator, so Miller – who had much more experience in movies – guided the young star through the scene. Dommett then prepared himself to watch his work at the premiere, only to realise that the entire scene had been cut from the film.

It comes after the presenter completed the London Marathon wearing a Masked Singer costume on Sunday (April 21). The presenter completed the marathon in five hours and twenty minutes all whilst wearing a huge piranha mask, which weighed eight kilos.

Speaking after completing the agonising 26.2 mile course, Joel said: “It was definitely the hardest marathon I’ve done. Really had to dig deep. Lots of shouting to myself.”

Talking about the costume itself, he went on: “It probably weighs, I reckon, probably about 8kg, something like that. The hard thing was it [the costume] was just banging against my head the entire time.

“I think I'm about three inches shorter now,” he chuckled.
