KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The hit animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is well known for its touching moments and strong soundtrack. Now, fans can relive their favorite moments in a live concert coming to Kansas City in 2024.

The global tour kicks off in the U.S. in September 2024 and expands to Europe and Australia in 2025, reaching a total of 100 cities across the world.

Audiences will watch highlights from the Nickelodeon show’s three seasons on a full-sized cinema screen while the orchestra plays expanded versions of the original score.

The concert was created in collaboration with several of the show’s original contributors, including Jeremy Zuckerman, the show’s Emmy Award-winning composer, and co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

Zuckerman said he’s excited to share the show’s most iconic moments with both new and old “Avatar” fans alike.

“It’s been incredibly satisfying and moving to see the audiences’ emotional response to these concerts, and to be a part of that atmosphere is a uniquely beautiful experience,” Zuckerman said.

There will be two opportunities to see the concert in Kansas City. The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is hosting performances on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available exclusively on the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts website.
