Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have had quite a tumultuous few years. And that's putting it lightly.
And now, their family life has been captured for a new reality TV show, The Baldwins. Thus far, the series has received a mixed response, especially for its depiction of Alec's recent controversies.
In 2021, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot and director Joel Souza was injured on the set of Alec's film Rust in New Mexico. Alec, who was holding a prop gun, fired a live round during a rehearsal, leading to Hutchins' death and Souza's injury.
While speaking with ABC News, Alec explained: "The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger," he said. "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them, never."
He later added: "Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property."
"She was someone who was loved by everyone who worked with [her] and liked by everyone who worked with [her], and admired," Baldwin said through tears.
"I mean, even now I find it hard to believe that [she's gone]. It doesn't seem real to me."
