Djokovic and Nadal watch Real Madrid together but expect smiles to end if they reach Madrid Open final

Tennis players Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal put their rivalry to one side on Wednesday night to watch the Uefa Champions League semi-final second leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the Bernabeau.

World No 1 Djokovic and fifth ranked Nadal are in the Spanish capital for the Madrid Open, where both players will be looking to advance to the quarter-finals on Thursday. Djokovic, the 2011 champion, takes on Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Agut, while four-time winner Nadal faces American Sam Querrey.

However, they took time away from their tennis schedule to cheer on Madrid, who advanced to the final after a 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Djokovic and Nadal were all smiles at the Bernabeu, but with the pair set to meet in the Madrid Open final should both reach that stage, the pleasantries will surely be put on hold.
