A NEW stage adaptation of Little Women is set to visit Malvern Theatres.

Anne-Marie Casey’s adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel will be performed from Tuesday 15 to Saturday, April 19.

The production will star Belinda Lang from Sister Boniface Mysteries and 2point4 Children, Honeysuckle Weeks from Foyle's War, Jack Ashton from Call the Midwife, and Grace Molony from The Great.

The cast also includes Cillian Lenaghan, Jade Kennedy, Catherine Chalk, and Imogen Elliott.

The production promises to bring Alcott’s classic to the stage, following the journey of the March sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy, as they navigate the challenges of the Civil War era.

Casey, known for her work on Wuthering Heights and Tess, has been praised for breathing new life into the classic.

Greta Gerwig's recent film adaptation of Little Women has rekindled interest in the story.
