South Carolina women's basketball has traveled as far as one can go this season, and the Gamecocks can repeat as national champions with Sunday's national title game against UConn in Tampa.

The Gamecocks can earn a fourth national championships in nine seasons, elevating Dawn Staley's legacy even higher from an empirical standpoint.

Meanwhile, UConn is looking for its first national championship since 2016. Nine years is a total drought for the Huskies since becoming one of the sport's top programs in the mid-1990s. Geno Auriemma enters Sunday with 11 total national titles.

South Carolina and UConn played in the regular season, a dominant 87-58 win by the Huskies on Feb. 16 in Columbia.
