Amanda Owen, the star of Our Yorkshire Farm, was visibly moved when Clive Owen discovered a tragic incident at Ravenseat Farm. The poignant scenes will be shown in a rerun of series five, scheduled for broadcast on Saturday.
Amanda took her sheepdog, Kate, out for a walk and shared that her cherished pet had delivered a stillborn puppy. Despite no apparent signs of sickness, Amanda expressed relief that Kate seemed to be coping well after the distressing event.
"Unfortunately, she is no longer in pup," a tearful Amanda confessed to the camera.
"Clive went to let her out at dinner time, and her puppy was there stillborn. I've got to say, she seems absolutely fine. There's never been any change in her mood, she's never been off her food, so she was never even ill," reports Leeds Live.

She added: "I mean, it's a real mystery. The worst scenario would have been that we had a dead pup and a dead dog, which, to be quite honest with you, I was really worried about her, with her being older, an older mother.
"So there was always a danger that, you know, we could have lost Kate, and that would have been an absolute disaster. So, as it stands, I've still got my sheepdog; I just haven't got a puppy."
In another part of the episode, Amanda faced the potential loss of a sheep struggling with labour.

The mother of nine's children were ready to assist, and Violet observed that the lamb was not positioned correctly for birth.
"What are you hoping to feel?" Amanda queried, to which Violet responded: "Two front feet and maybe a head."
Amanda was taken aback when Violet mentioned she could feel a tail. "That means its bottom is coming, and it can't come out like that," Amanda expressed with concern.

"She's not very happy, is she? That feels like the foot of the other lamb. There are two lambs coming at the same time, and one is coming backward, and one is coming forward.
"That is a problem there," noted Violet while Amanda maneuvered one lamb back for the other to make its way out.
Nonetheless, following the successful birth of both lambs, Amanda commended her daughter: "I tell you something, Violet, that would have been dead if you hadn't have learned that."
