Ryan McGhee was dominant on the hill, firing a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts to lead Garnet Valley to a 9-0 win over Penncrest in Central League action Monday.
Chris Shaffer and Zach Gordon each had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs for the Jaguars.
Luca Ponzo and Asher Wynne both singled for the Lions (3-6, 2-5).
Marple Newtown 7, Upper Darby 0 >> Freshman Carter Patterson pitched four innings of two-hit ball, striking out three, en route to his first varsity win.
Justin DiSantis singled and drove in two runs, while Aidan Liberty went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Tigers.

Chichester 8, Delco Christian 2 >> Gavin Derrickson went the distance, striking out seven, and Zach Murray had three hits and three RBIs for the Eagles (6-2)
Boys Tennis
William Brothers and Arman Gogna pulled out a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win at second doubles, helping Cardinal O’Hara earn a 3-2 Catholic League victory over Archbishop Carroll.
Also for O’Hara, Shane McGuire and Michael Seeger won 6-2, 6-2 in the first doubles match. Matthew Chen triumphed 6-1, 6-1 at first singles
Joseph Zaneni and Justin Hunt were victorious at first and second singles, respectively, for Carroll.
Girls Lacrosse
Luci Damico produced four goals and one assist as Sun Valley crushed Delco Christian, 15-3.
McKenzie Burgos (one assist) and Brielle Wright each registered a hat trick for the Vanguards. Abby Messick had five assists and Rylee Hoesch added two goals. Ang Ellis stopped four shots between the pipes.
Conestoga 10, St. Ignatius Prep 5 >> Lu Misener scored her 100th career goal for the Pioneers. It was coach Amy Orcutt’s 300th victory.
