Kesari 2 advance booking report: Will Akshay Kumar movie beat Jaat at the Box Office?

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan’s much-anticipated upcoming movie, Kesari: Chapter 2, based on the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, is scheduled to release in theatres on April 18. The film’s advance bookings began on April 15, and the numbers are hinting at an upward trend.

The movie, also starring Ananya Panday, has already minted Rs 12.66 lakhs so far, and Rs 1.02 crore with block seats. It has so far sold over 4,000 tickets, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk. Let’s dive into further details!

Kesari: Chapter 2 advance booking report

Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday starrer Kesari: Chapter 2 has managed to earn Rs 12.65 lakh within a few hours of advance booking opening, according to Sacnilk. The film is expected to build momentum over the next three days and is expected to surpass Sunny Deol’s latest release, Jaat, at the box office. With block seats, the film has sold over one lakh tickets and without block seats, it has sold over 4,000 tickets so far.

The movie has collected Rs 3.54 lakh in Delhi NCR, while Mumbai’s collection stands at Rs 1.48 lakh so far. In Bengaluru, the film has minted Rs 1.48 lakh, and in Punjab, it has earned Rs 54.37K in advance booking sales. On the other hand, Jaat collected Rs 9.5 crore on its first day, and Kesari 2 is expected to surpass the Sunny Deol starrer on its opening day.

On Tuesday (April 15), the producers hosted a special screening of Kesari 2 in Delhi, that was attended by a few politicians. Post the screening, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, heaped praise on Kesari: Chapter 2. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she wrote in Hindi, “The spirit of patriotism, valour and sacrifice has been presented in a very impressive and touching manner in the film Kesari Chapter 2. Every scene is full of pride and inspiration. Best wishes to Shri @akshaykumar, Shri @ActorMadhavan and the entire team of #KesariChapter2 for the film.
