Eurovision 2025 TV and radio schedule confirmed by BBC with days to go
The hit song competition is celebrating 69 years on air as it returns to Switzerland
Eurovision is back for yet another year as the BBC celebrate the 69th year of the hit song contest airing on television screens.
This year, the competition returns to Switzerland, hosts of the very first contest back in 1956. After Nemo's win last year, 37 countries will travel to the beautiful city of Basel to see who can follow in their footsteps and be crowned the new Eurovision Song Contest 2025 champion.
During the final, only 26 of the countries will be performing, and as one of the 'Big Five' countries (United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Italy), the United Kingdom has a guaranteed place in the Grand Final.
Before that takes place, however, the BBC have a full schedule and have jam packed their TV and radio channels to showcase the best that Eurovision has to offer.
Here is the full schedule for television:
- Friday 9th May - Eurovision 2025: When Graham Met Remember Monday at 9.40pm on BBC One
During the one-off special, Graham will be chatting exclusively with this year's UK entry, Remember Monday. The talented trio will chat candidly about their hopes and fears of singling live in front of millions of people watching.
- Tuesday 13th May - The first Semi-Finals at 8pm on BBC One
The first round of semi-finals will take place and see hosts Rylan Clark and Scott Mills as 18 countries compete for a place in the final.
Here are the countries for this date: Iceland, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Ukraine, Sweden, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, Azerbaijan, San Marino, Albania, Netherlands, Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
- Thursday 15th May - The second Semi-Finals at 8pm on BBC One
In the same format as the previous round, the next 18 countries will take to the stage. United Kingdom will be against Australia, Montenegro, Ireland, Latvia, Armenia, Austria, Greece, Lithuania, Malta, Georgia, Denmark, Czechia, Luxembourg, Israel, Serbia, Finland, France and Germany.
- Saturday 17th May - The Grand Final at 8pm on BBC One
As the main event takes place, Eurovision's finest expert Graham Norton will be guiding the audience through the events of the night.
Well-known Swiss faces, Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer will be presenting the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Grand Final from St. Jakobshalle, Basel.
The remaining 26 countries will each perform their songs until the voting closes where the final leader board will be announced.
- Saturday 17th May - Doctor Who – The Interstellar Song Contest
The sixth episode from the second season is a special one dedicated to Eurovision as they hold their own song competition.
Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) travel to the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest, co-hosted by Rylan – where planets from across the universe compete for the top prize. Along for the ride is the King of Eurovision himself, Graham Norton, with stars of stage and screen Freddie Fox, Kadiff Kirwan, Charlie Condou and Miriam-Teak Lee.

BBC Radio 2 is the home of Eurovision 2025 on UK radio, and Eurovision obsessives Scott Mills, Rylan, Richie Anderson plus Sara Cox who is also joining the Radio 2 Eurovision family this year, will be in Basel all week as the excitement builds to Saturday night.
- Monday 12th - Friday 16th May: The Scott Mills Breakfast Show at 6.30-9.30am
Scott will be catching up with some of this year's entries as well as sharing any of the gossip from the backstage arena.
- Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th May: Eurovision Semi-Finals at 8-11pm
Sara Cox will be returning to do her commentary on the semi-finals as they take place in Switzerland. She previously commentated on the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Scott Mills in Düsseldorf (2011) and Baku (2012) and once again returned to the competition in 2021 when the contest was held in Rotterdam.
- Wednesday 14th May: Sara Cox at 4-7pm
Sara will be hosting her own teatime show with the lowdown from the first semi-final and everything else to expect in the following few days.
- Friday 16th May: Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Eurovision Kitchen Disco at 9-11pm
The singer's kitchen disco became a hit during lockdown, with Sophie playing loads of Eurodance favourites to get you in the mood for this year's contest.
- Saturday 17th May: Super Saturday
During "Super Saturday" the BBC will be celebrating everything to do with Eurovision. The schedule is as follows:
- Sounds of the 60s: 6-8am. Tony Blackburn brings you two hours of jam-packed hits from the 1960s.
- Dermot O’Leary: 8-10am Dermot will be playing some classic Eurovision vinyl and chatting to Rylan who’s live in Basel.
- Romesh Ranganathan: 10am-1pm. Not only will he be backing our UK entrants, Remember Monday, but he'll be joined by Eurovision superfan, Mel Giedroyc, and her partner-in-crime, Sue Perkins, to get excited for the big finale.
- Zoe Ball: 1-3pm. She’ll be playing her favourite tracks from previous years of the contest.
- Your Ultimate 21st Century Eurovision Song: 3-5pm. Radio 2’s Michelle Visage presents Your Ultimate 21st Century Eurovision Song - a Top 40 countdown cavalcade of superb songs from the Eurovision Song Contests from 2000 to 2024.
- All Request Eurovision with Owain Wyn Evans: 5-8pm. He’ll be hearing from Eurovision parties happening across the country and playing three hours of requests from listeners before handing over to Scott and Rylan in Basel.
- Scott & Rylan‘s commentary live from Stadium: 8-11.30pm. Rylan and Scott Mills are once again hosting Radio 2 and BBC Sounds’ live coverage of the 2025 Eurovision Grand Final from St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland.
- Eurovision After Party with Richie Anderson: 11.30pm-2am. Richie Anderson presents Radio 2’s Eurovision After Party, chatting about what happened in the Grand Final and hearing from listeners about what they thought.
