7 Interesting Champion/Relic Combinations in Legend of Runeterra: Path of Champions

While Champions are the cornerstone of any Path of Champions deck, the relics that you can equip on them can be quite impactful. The variety of effects ranges from adding keywords to completely destroying the enemy’s side of the board. Tailoring relics to fit the Champions is just as important as leveling up your Champion and gaining Star Powers. Here are a few combinations that are particularly useful.

What are Relics in Path of Champions?

As you lay out your Champion Deck, you open up three little circles on the right side of your Champion Card. Those are where the relics are. By clicking on the circle, you can open up a list of the Relics you possess and equip them to your Champion.

There are currently three types of Relics: Common (Green), Rare (Blue), and Epic (Purple). You can get Green and Blue Relics from just playing the game normally, but you have to buy access to get to the Purple one.

Yuumi with Galeforce

Because Yuumi attaches to another card, the recall effect of Galeforce doesn’t activate. This means that you can give whoever you are attached to Scout with having to worry about them be sucked back into your deck.

Evelyn with Tempest Blade

Evelyn can level up a total of 6 times. This means that you could potentially unleash six team-wide stuns against the enemy team. Honestly, you are more likely to only get about 2 or 3, but it’s still a rather handy trick.

Master Yi with Dreadway Chase Gun

This will give you 0-cost spells that you can activate at any time, allowing you to activate his Star Power and create a 1-cost Twin Disciplines. It’s not world-shattering, but it is helpful.

Tahm Kench with Berserker’s Buckle

Since you damage yourself every time you eat an enemy, you might as well get Stats for it. It only takes a few turns for him to start getting out of hand.

Vi with Wriggle’s Lantern

You have to wait five turns to summon her (which you’d probably have to do anyway), but when you do, you’ll get a pretty good extra chunk of damage.

Teemo with Crownguard Inheritance

Attack with him once. If you have his Star Power at level 3, he’ll implant 15 mushrooms and level up. Immediately attack again. You’ll end up with 50 mushrooms right off the bat.

Aurelion Sol with The Deceiver’s Crest

Probably the most broken combo in the game. When you level up the equipped Champion, you get a free cast of their Champion Spell. Since you automatically level up Aurelion Sol when you summon him, that means you get a free cast of a 15-damage spell against all of your opponent’s cards. It’s ridiculous.

Gwen with Luden’s Tempest or Big Guns

This effect not only deals damage with her snips but also heals, since they are Life Steal. You will usually end up killing the enemy Nexus with just the snips alone. And you almost definitely heal your Nexus to full.

Mitch Marner Builds List of Eight Specific Teams He is Willing to Sign With

Mitch Marner's future in the NHL appears to lay beyond Toronto, and now, he's reportedly put together a short list of 8 teams he could land with in free agency. The Toronto Maple Leafs failed to go deep in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and as a result of the backlash and criticism given to the team, especially forward Mitch Marner, it's led to the veteran forward likely testing out free agency this summer. According to many reports, if Marner does leave Toronto, he's likely to leave Canada as well, ruling out six teams, and now, according to David Pagnotta, he's compiled a short list of 8 teams that he'd be willing to sign with. It's unclear exactly who those 8 teams are, but in the process of revealing this report, Pagnotta noted that the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights are among them, something that has Kings fans incredibly excited after their own disappointing Stanley Cup Playoffs exit in 2025. With the two teams revealed, it's clear that Marner could be targeting a move to the West Coast, especially given that he may not want to meet the Florida Panthers or even the Maple Leafs in the post-season moving forward, but in both LA and Vegas, he'd have a fantastic chance to win and be a big reason behind that. Beyond these two teams, Elliotte Friedman has speculated that the Anaheim Ducks could be a genuine landing spot for Marner, with the Florida Panthers a team that shouldn't be discounted either, as Marner may look to join the enemy, rather than try and defeat them. At this point in time, nobody quite knows where Marner is going to end up, but with the list of potential destinations narrowing, we may know soon enough where the star forward will end up in the summer.

Reggie Miller Facing Backlash From NBA World During Knicks-Pacers Game

On Saturday night, the Indiana Pacers are playing the New York Knicks (at home) for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. Pacers legend Reggie Miller is calling the game on TV for TNT. However, many fans were talking about the Hall of Fame guard on social media. Anthony Puccio: "I’m sorry but Reggie Miller should not be calling these games" Sam Morril: "Infuriating how much i’ve had to listen to Reggie Miller. One of the worst broadcasters to ever do it." @Matty_Ice42: "Reggie Miller and SVG should be absolutely ashamed of this performance on national tv" @NBA_NewYork: "Reggie Miller and Stan Van Gundy are vomit inducing tonight" @docKev_: "How Reggie Miller is allowed to be a broadcaster for this series is beyond me." @joelvmoran: "KAT looks like he’s in serious pain and Reggie Miller goes, “I think this is all for show” Get this biased Pacers fan off the mic" @BigKnickEnergy_: "I can’t even believe we listened to Reggie Miller and Stan Van Gundy for 6 games now" @AndrewLeezus: "Reggie Miller, a national tv broadcaster, is openly rooting for the Pacers and when KAT just grabbed his knee in pain he called it “all for show”. Dude is the worst." Miller spent his entire 18-year career with the Pacers. They last made the NBA Finals during the 2000 season (25 years ago) when he was on the roster. The winner of the series will face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals.

'He's done one thing that I hold true' - Michael Irvin makes bold statement about Brian Schottenheimer's Cowboys after attending practice

It doesn't matter what platform he's on, there's one thing we all know about Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin: He will hype up his former team. Whether it was throughout his years at NFL Network, appearances on ESPN, or now, in his YouTube channel, Irvin has a soft spot for the Cowboys. And over the weekend, he found a way to hype up the fanbase with a strong take about the Brian Schottenheimer era. "I walked out of (practice) real excited about this season," Irvin said on his YouTube channel. "You're gonna sleep and then we're gonna creep. Everybody talking about Washington, everybody talking about Philadelphia, 'the Cowboys have the hardest schedule we've ever seen, oh my god' (. . .) what y'all are trying to do when you say all of that is create this fear and anxiety." Though it was only OTAs, Irvin believes he saw enough in practice to shoot down the negative feelings around Cowboys Nation, which also reflect the oddsmaker's expectations about the team as Dallas is projected to win 7.5 games per Vegas. "What I saw today is what I needed to see so I can tell you, that (expletive) ain't going to work, because I saw a man that's trying to grab all of this opportunity that he has," said Irvin about Schottenheimer. "And he's changing that culture, and he's done one thing that I hold true: You must make people comfortable but then two things, competing like a mother problem under pressure." Irvin is the latest to discuss Schottenheimer's culture and energy shift within the team, a narrative that has taken a life of its own since he was named Cowboys head coach. Clearly, Schottenheimer is great at relationships, and it's evident in the way he talks to players and even the media during press conferences. The big question is if that will translate to wins starting in September. Only time will tell but history has shown us there will have to be more to it than the right message being sent at practice. The Cowboys will have to have the Xs and Os and talent on the roster to back it up. "We gonna shock y'all asses this year," Irvin also said in his video.

Braves Projected to Trade $111 Million All-Star After Chris Sale News

As has often been the case over the last two seasons, the dynamic Atlanta Braves duo of Marcell Ozuna and Chris Sale struck again on Thursday night. Ozuna went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored in Atlanta’s 9-3 victory over the rival Philadelphia Phillies. Sale, meanwhile, became the fastest pitcher in MLB history to 2,500 strikeouts with a sixth-inning punchout of Phillies third baseman Edmundo Sosa. If things keep at their current rate, though, the two may not be teammates much longer. Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller listed Ozuna among those that the 26-29 Braves could trade this summer, assuming they wave the white flag and pivot to 2026. Ozuna, who turns 35 in November, remains an appealing DH target despite diminished power numbers. The three-time All-Star entered Wednesday hitting .278 with a stellar .428 on-base percentage; only New York Yankees star Aaron Judge (.488) and Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith (.457) rank higher. Perhaps more importantly, Ozuna is in the final season of a five-year, $80 million contract. What sounds better than a rental bat who still reaches base at an exceptional pace? However, Ozuna only has nine homers through 52 games and is on pace for his fewest home runs since 2022. Ozuna averaged a .552 slugging percentage the last two seasons, though he’s only mustered a .464 mark thus far. Any team that would potentially acquire Ozuna, who leads the sport with 47 walks, is doing so knowing he’ll likely almost exclusively be the DH. Ozuna has played only 14 outfield innings since the start of 2023, and none in the last two years. We’ll see how many more times Sale and Ozuna can lead the Braves to victory, especially with Atlanta now 5.5 games back in the Wild Card chase.
