Frank Lampard will get the chance to make changes to his Coventry City squad in the coming months with the summer transfer window opening at the beginning of June for a ten day period before reopening again on June 16.
The Sky Blues are expected to have a reasonably busy close season as the head coach looks to stamp his own mark in his first big transfer window since taking charge last November.
Although City only have two senior players out of contract – midfielders Jamie Allen and Jamie Paterson – the likes of Fabio Tavares is set for a move to Burton Albion while senior development players Jack Burroughs, Ryan Howley and Cian Tyler are also reaching the end of their current deals.

There will, no doubt, be others who are in contract but may be deemed surplus to requirement, while the club may look to cash in on one or two in order to help replenish the squad elsewhere.
Whether there will be a big money signing or not remains to be seen, while there will also be plenty of free agents available for hire.
But what about the loan market? Doug King has steered away from that particular option over the last 12 months with Coventry not taking a single temporary player this last season for the first time in many a year.
What used to be a staple of the summer transfer window for the Sky Blues has become almost obsolete as the club have preferred to invest in their own players to ensure they retain any future resale value.
However, one wonders whether that is all about to change. Lampard has enjoyed the benefits of loan players in previous managerial posts, not least when he was at fellow Championship club Derby County a few years ago and took advantage of his close Chelsea connections.
City also have a potentially interesting goalkeeping conundrum this summer with first choice Oliver Dovin set to remain sidelined with an ACL injury for several months of the 2025/26 campaign. And although Brad Collins has another year left on his contract, it remains unclear whether he figures in Lampard’s plans following a difficult spell at the club. That leaves Ben Wilson as the only senior stopper.
The question is, will the club seek out a new permanent signing to compete for the No.1 shirt or go down the loan route to get a season-long deal to plug the gap until Dovin’s return.
As City begin to plot their transfers for next season, here CoventryLive brings you the 85 loans that are set to end this season and may well be let out on loan again next term.
