After days of carrying the burden of an unsuccessful marriage, one day she gathered the courage and ran away with her daughter. Recalling the same, she said, “One day, I packed my bag, put together whatever I could and left.” At that time, her daughter was just eight months old, asleep and quite unaware of how her life was going to change in a day. That night, she kept asking herself if she was doing the right thing, it was the right decision. When she reached her parents’ house, her father opened the door, and he didn’t bother her with questions, but just assured her that she would be fine later.

To earn a living, she opened a garment boutique in her hometown in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. But her inner calling for acting didn’t let her stay back for long . So after a couple of years, she left her daughter Aisha with her parents which she says was the hardest decision of her life but then Aisha deserved a good life and for that she had to take this harsh step.

Then in 2005, she started from scratch doing small roles, as a supportive actress, and received a lot of rejections. But she kept going. She did smaller roles in big blockbuster movies.
