Keith J. Wyman DORSET — Fondly Remembering Keith Jon Wyman, Loving dad and music lover. It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Keith Jon Wyman on May 10, 2025, at the age of 62 after a rapid onset of cancer. He was a beloved father, brother, son, a cherished friend, and an esteemed member of our community known for his wit, humor, and love of live music. Keith was born on Jan. 11, 1962, in Bennington, Vermont. A true Vermonter, his roots ran deep in the community. He was the son of Clarence “Pete” and Marla Wyman. Growing up in Dorset, he developed a passion for all things Vermont and a disdain for any green vegetable. He was a Cub Scout, played Little League Baseball and was a founding member of the “K&K Worms for Sale” business with his brother. He played goalie on the soccer team in both high school and college. Keith attended Burr and Burton Academy, Vermont Technical College and eventually Castleton University, where he received a degree in Business Administration. His career included managing the local Ben & Jerry’s, managing a small chain of convenience stores, managing the lift-ticket checkers at Stratton Mountain and his main work as Inside Sales for Motion Industrial Supply in Albany, New York. Keith was known for his generous spirit, love of live music (a self-described Parrothead and Deadhead), and grilling and smoking meat. He was predeceased by his parents and leaves behind his brothers Peter (Deb) Wyman of East Dorset, VT and Kevin Wyman (Susan Schoenberger) of West Hartford, CT; his children Matthew (Chenoa) Wyman of Corning, NY, Ethan Wyman of Latham, NY and Delaney Wyman of Glens Falls, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews and many friends and fellow music lovers. A private funeral service will be held on May 23 for family. A celebration of his life will follow at Peter and Deb Wyman’s home in East Dorset on May 23 at 4:00 p.m., where we encourage everyone to share their favorite memories about Keith. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Keith's honor. Though Keith is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
