When the summer sun turns up the heat, the Alliance for the Arts turns up the fun. On Wednesday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., join in for a refreshing twist on the Monthly Night Market — held indoors and centered around everyone’s favorite summer fruit: the mango.

The Mango Night Market invites guests to escape the heat and enjoy a vibrant evening filled with mango-inspired treats, tropical drinks, and local shopping — all under one roof. This fruity fiesta is sure to delight all your senses.

This year, AFTA is excited to welcome back local author Annabelle Tometich, who was a crowd favorite at last year’s Mango Night Market. Annabelle will take the stage in the Foulds Theatre to share what’s next in her journey following the success of her acclaimed memoir, The Mango Tree: A Memoir of Fruit, Florida, and Felony. After her talk, she will also be available for a book signing. Entertainment also happening in the theatre throughout the evening will be live music by singer, songwriter and poet, Blou Note.

Guests can explore a curated selection of local artisans, makers, and small businesses, offering everything from handmade jewelry and unique artwork to natural body products and home décor. It’s the perfect place to discover one-of-a-kind finds while supporting the local creative economy.

“We’re thrilled to bring back this mango-themed market,” says Jordan Jameson, director of operations at the Alliance. “It’s a joyful way for the community to connect, celebrate summer, and support local makers in a cool, comfortable setting.”

Admission is free, and all are welcome — families, foodies, mango lovers, and art enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re stopping by for a taste of the tropics or planning to make an evening of it, the Mango Night Market promises something for everyone.

Mark your calendar, invite your friends, bring the family and get ready for a juicy celebration of community, creativity, and all things mango.

Night Markets at the Alliance for the Arts are held on the second Wednesday of every month, offering a fun and festive way to connect with local vendors, artists, and the community. The theme for July’s Night Market is Camp Summer Reunion — a nostalgic celebration inviting all past summer camp attendees to come together, share memories, and relive the magic of camp. It’s all part of the Alliance’s 50th Anniversary celebration, honoring five decades of creativity, connection, and community all year long.
