Swedish-Greek actress Elli AvrRam, who is currently shooting for the Tamil and Kannada versions of Bollywood film Queen, is all set to make her Telugu debut too. The Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon actress will be seen in a special number in Allu Arjun’s film, Naa Peru Surya, directed by Vakkantham Vamsi.
Elli shares, “The director was impressed with three of my earlier dance videos and approached me. It is a slow song with a mix of folklore and we shot the number in various parts in Hyderabad. It is my first Telugu film and the experience has been great.”
Apparently, the actress is a huge fan of Allu Arjun. “When I was told that the song was opposite Allu Arjun, I did not even listen to it and agreed. I have seen his songs earlier and he has amazing dance moves and I am a huge fan of his. He’s such a big star but has no airs and is very humble. It’s great to work with him. One of his songs that’s my favourite is Seeti Maar,” she shares, adding, “But in this special song, it is only me dancing!”
Followed by the Queen remakes, Naa Peru Surya will be Elli’s second release in the South this year.
“The best part about working here is that the films have Indianness in the content. I also love Telugu and have picked up a few words like bagunnara (how are you), kallu (eyes) and manchi (good). While going through the lyrics, I have also realised that Telugu has different slangs. This is the second time I am shooting in Hyderabad and I love the dry weather.”
