He is proud to have been among the first authors to describe HIV/AIDS during the earliest stage of the epidemic. Today, Dr. Brown is able to witness his own effect on younger generations of physicians and researchers whom he trained throughout his career. In addition, he has enjoyed taking care of his patients, many of whom are HIV-positive and have gone on to live normal and productive lives for 30 years or more.
