Actor Michael Sheen is reportedly "thrilled to bits" to welcome a baby girl with his girlfriend, Swedish actress Anna Lundberg.

The couple were first seen as a couple in May, announcing their baby news just two months after that.

Meyrick Sheen, Michael's dad, confirmed their daughter had been born and the couple was "over the moon".

MailOnline reported that Meyrick said he had seen photos of the baby, and that it was "great news" which he and his wife would be celebrating by "raising a glass".

Michael, who is 25 years Anna's senior, also shares a daughter, Lily Mo Sheen with his ex Kate Beckinsale.

He once told the Guardian: "I think being a parent is the most challenging thing you do".

He added: "I think you just do whatever you need to do for your children, don't you?"

The Good Omens actor had announced the pregnancy news on Twitter in July.

Referencing his supernatural role in the show, he tweeted: "Very happy to let everyone know that my partner Anna and I are expecting a little angel of our own. (Just to be clear – we’re having a baby!"

When he and Anna first embarked on their relationship, rumours swirled that he had began dating her while he was still together with comedian Aisling Bea.

Taking to Twitter to deny the claims, Michael wrote: "Wouldn’t normally respond to this kind of thing but for the sake of people I love and who have more important things to focus on right now – I was single from the beginning of last summer until I met my partner Anna who is now going to have our baby. Just for the record. Thanks."

Michael and Kate were together from 1995-2003, and have remained friends while they co parent their daughter.

He thenn dated actress Rachel McAdams from 2010-2013, and comedian Sarah Silverman from 2014-2018.
