It’s nearly here: the end of the year and also the end of the decade. What better way to mark it than with a range of blockbusters and much-loved television shows coming to Netflix?

The streaming giant has finally unveiled its new listings for the Christmas season and they'll make you want to cancel your plans and stay inside.

From RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 4 to comic book classic Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, there is something for everyone this month.

So, what else is joining Netflix in December?

6 December - Marriage Story

The Oscars-tipped film charts the break-up of Charlie Barber and his wife Nicole, played by Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. Early reviews have been incredibly positive with the Evening Standard's critic David Sexton labelling it “authentically American”, “truly a cruel tearjerker” and adds that “Driver and Johansson are at their very best”.

Rotten Tomatoes adds that 97 per cent of reviews given to the film have been positive and it's also been nominated for several awards including British Independent Film prizes and Gotham Independent Film Awards.

6 December - The Confession Killer

Netflix is adding another true crime documentary to the streaming site named The Confession Killer.

Focused on the crimes of Henry Lee Lucas, a convicted murderer who killed hundreds of people across America,this docu-series is tipped to be the next Ted Bundy Tapes.

The Confession Killer is made up of five episodes in total.

9 December - How to Get Away with Murder series 5

The legal drama – starring the likes of Oscar award-winning actress Viola Davis and rising star and London boy Alfred Enoch – sees criminal defence lawyer Annalise Keating (Davis) and her associates deal with the aftermath of a class action victory in the Supreme Court.

The six series show is continuing to draw UK audiences after seeing success in the USA and the final series is bound to join the streaming service soon too.

12 December - Jack Whitehall: Christmas with my Father

Our favourite father-son duo are back – and with a timely Christmas theme for December.

The stand-up show – set in front of a fake fireplace and comfortable armchairs, naturally – will see Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville, Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Tan France join Jack and Michael Whitehall for their Christmas do.

Expect a wardrobe revamp, stuffing turkeys, a nativity and of course the usual X-rated jokes.

13 December – 6 Underground

It wouldn’t be Christmas without an action-packed film really, would it? And award-winning director Michael Bay has delivered once again with the Netflix original vigilante thriller, 6 Underground.

One of the greatest Ryans - Ryan Reynolds – is joined by Bohemian Rhapsody breakout star Ben Hardy, French actress Melanie Laurent and Dave Franco, in a film which sees a squad fake their own deaths in in order to take down notorious criminals.

14 December – RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars Series 4

Ready to sashay away ladies? Our favourite queen is back with her fourth all-star series and a whole new range of returning favourites vying for the crown.

Expect the usual tea, sass, and shade as the ladies take on challenges, runways and lip-syncing.

16 December – Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Before Fargo, Pitch Perfect and a foray to Broadway, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anna Kendrick and Michael Cera all starred together in a film adaptation of comic book classic, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. The Edgar Wright action comedy film was branded a box office flop after grossing just over half of the film’s budget, but Scott Pilgrim has become a cult classic for movie fans.

It sees Scott [Cera] battle seven evil ex boyfriends to win the heart of his new girlfriend, Ramona Flowers [Winstead]. Kendrick plays Stacey, Scott’s sister, and also stars Avengers heroes Chris Evans ex boyfriend of Ramona, Lucas Lee, and Brie Larson as Scott’s ex girlfriend, Natalie V. "Envy" Adams.

18 December – Don’t F***k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer

This bizarre documentary sees a group of cat lovers track down murderer Luka Magnotta.

The Canadian killed and dismembered Lin Jun, a Chinese international student, in 2012 and then posted his hands and feet to schools and offices of political parties.

Ahead of the murder, in 2010 and 2011, he posted a series of animal cruelty videos online which showed him feeding kittens to a python. The shocking footage led to a man hunt by animals rights activists, which led to him being investigated by Toronto police. In 2012, Magnotta was apprehended by police in Berlin and handed a lifetime prison sentence after a trial in 2014.

19 December - Jurassic World

The fourth instalment of the Jurassic Park film series, the sci-fi flick sees visitors of the dinosaur theme park under threat after scientists create a genetically modified dinosaur which escapes its enclosure. Chris Pratt plays Owen Grady, the hero, velociraptor expert and handler at Jurassic World. Bryce Dallas Howard returns as Claire Dearing, the Jurassic World operations manager. An essential watch for Jurassic Park fans.

20 December – The Witcher and The Two Popes

The Witcher

The fantasy drama – based off Andrzej Sapkowski’s short stories and novels – sees Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, sees him struggle to exist in a world of wicked people and the beasts. It sees Superman actor Henry Cavill play Geralt in the spine-tingling series.

This drama, based off the relationship between Pope Benedict XVI and his successor, Pope Francis, as the Catholic church continues to grow, change and face allegations of corruption. Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce play the titular characters as they navigate troublesome times in the church and eventually become friends.

24 December - Lost in Space series 2

The re-imagination of the 1965 series of the same name follows the adventures of a family of space colonists whose spaceship veers off course. The second season sees the Jupiter 2 spaceship stranded on an ocean planet, which means the Robinson family find themselves lost and without their beloved robot. They are forced to work together to find their way home and reunite with their robot. For people who love adventure, sci-fi, space and families working together against the odds, this one is for you.

26 December - You series 2

The hotly anticipated second series of psychological thriller You is back again – with even more twists and turns than before.

The second series of You sees killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) move to Los Angeles and become friendly with Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), an aspiring chef working as a produce manager at a shop, as he escapes his deadly past.

Meanwhile Peach Salinger’s (Shay Mitchell) family continues to investigate the death of her best friend Beck – Joe’s ex girlfriend and victim from season 1. Gotham’s Robin Lord Taylor also joins the cast this series.

31 December - John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum and La La Land

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum

Keanu Reeves is back for the third instalment in the neo-noir action thriller. Professional hitman John Wick (Reeves) sees himself on the run after “breaking the rules” by killing a crime lord. He seeks out old friends to help him and continuing to battle against his enemies. If Michael Bay’s flick isn’t enough for the action fans, this will surely fulfil any cravings.

La La Land

Great news everyone – one of the best films of 2017 is returning to Netflix. The smash hit musical film sees aspiring actress Mia (Emma Stone) meet and fall in love with jazz enthusiast Sebastian (Ryan Gosling). But despite the heart-warming storyline and unforgettable tunes, it is not a love story as we know it. For those of you who haven’t seen the Oscar award-winning flick (how?!) now is your chance.
